Faculty of Performing Arts
Performing Arts is central to Secondary School Life at Mount Scopus Memorial College. A rich diversity of Performing Arts studies are available for students right through to VCE. Students in Years 7 and 8 study Music as part of the regular curriculum. Music is offered as an elective in Years 9 and 10 with Music Performance at VCE.
Drama is offered as an elective in Years 9 and 10 and at VCE as Units 1 and 2 Drama and Units 3 and 4 Theatre Studies. Dance is also studied as an elective in Years 9 and 10 and may be offered at VCE.
Secondary School Students can enhance their school experience by participating in a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as the College Musical, the Secondary School Play, Middle School House Plays, Musical Soirees, Scopus Idol, Performing Arts showcases, the Scopus Orchestra, the Scopus Glee Choir, performance ensembles and various other performance events.
