Scholarships, Bursaries and Fee Assistance
The dream of the founders of Mount Scopus was to have a school where all Jewish children could attend, regardless of means, to learn of their heritage, to be proud Jews and dedicated supporters of Israel whilst understanding their role in Australian society.
From our earliest days, Mount Scopus has developed a well earned reputation as one of the top academic schools in Victoria. That reputation continues today however we bursary funds are distributed on a strictly needs-based measure, irrespective of the academic ability. By increasing our funds available for fee assistance in this way, we believe that our practice will reflect the value we place on all children, regardless of academic ability, target the financial help where it is most needed and help even more children to enjoy the benefits of a Scopus education.
Bursaries and needs based grants
Mount Scopus Memorial College offers needs-based assistance to provide a Scopus education to Jewish students who otherwise would not be able to attend.
A range of financial bursaries and grants are available to assist students in all year levels from Prep to Year 12 to help defray the cost of tuition fees. A determination is made based on each family’s individual circumstances based on their financial and other information. Applications can be made at any time by new or current families.
Two specific programs are detailed below, but for further information about the College or place availability contact Enrolments on 9834 0070, or to enquire about fee assistance call 9834 0093.
Further information about the process is available on the Fee Assistance FAQs page.
Prep entry bursaries Gesher (Prep to Year 6) and Grow with Scopus (Prep to Year 3 and Prep to Year 6)
At Scopus, we want to help Jewish children access a world-class Jewish education who would not be able to do so without assistance. That's why we offer a number of bursaries from Prep, to give your child the chance to experience all that Scopus has to offer. If you would like to see our teaching and learning in action, please click here to register for one of our upcoming Open Mornings at Gandel Besen House.
Gesher
Our new Gesher Bursaries aim to support families by bridging the gap between the Child Care Subsidy received in Kinder, and school tuition fees from Prep to Year 6. Gesher will help a broader range of families moving forward, which benefits both the families involved and the entire Scopus community.

Supporting this, the following scholarships will be offered to three students in Years 3-11 (including new students entering the College in Years 4 or above) on a needs-basis:
